any more patriotic than that. Robert Wood was a "northern Whig" and as owner of a Philadelphia iron foundry was very involved in politics and fraternal organizations so
we're sure he would approve of our patriotic modification of his jockey, originally intended to hold a ring to tie a horse to. All we did was drill the jockey's hand hole a little differently and fabricate a tapered hollow tube to hold a flag.

Our USA Flag Holder Jock carries on a proud tradition of flag holding dating back to the monarchies of Europe in medieval times.
Before flags became popular the "standard bearer" carried a pole with a symbol of military or political importance on top. The standard bearer
tradition continues today at Olympic Games ceremonies and on your stoop with a USA Flag Holder Jock!
Your "standard" can be the US Flag or a personalized flag of your choosing! We just call our jock a USA Flag Holder because he has a "USA" ball cap.
Polyester car flags typically last about 6 months before replacement is needed. The flag material and stem last much longer- it is the dye colors that fade. We include 2 flags ready for installation, and 1 more that needs the clip/hook
cut off as an example- about a year and a half worth of flags to get started. Almost any size flag up to 12" x 18" will work. However, the best flag size
is 9" x 13" or 11" x 14"(9" x 13" flags shown in example pictures below). The tapered flag holder tube included is actually a 12" section cut out of a titanium
ski pole and painted white so is virtually indestructible and will never rust.
Like our other Jocks, Designer Jocks are virtually maintenance-free and age gracefully. Just like other yard artwork, just hose him down when you're watering the flowers or set the spinkler
to hit him every now and then and he'll look great for years.
The USA Flag Holder Jock is fully-painted with red, white, blue, almond, brown and black oil-based enamels- the same kind of paint used on farm machinery and little red wagons that are used a lot and face the elements.
Paint is chip, fade, and UV resistant and will last for many years. The statue itself is made of non-rusting Aluminum so it too will last for generations.
A flag holding tube and ring are included for the USA Flag Holder Jock's hand, but these Jocks also work with our optional oil and solar lanterns(lantern sold separately- CLICK HERE for more information).

Jock is primed with standard automotive primer and then painted with 2 coats of standard oil-base enamel paint in the following color scheme as shown above:
Gloss Leather Brown: Hair and eyebrows, top of boots
Gloss Almond: Face and hands
Gloss White: Pants, vest stars, sleeve stripes, USA lettering on cap, flag holder tube
Gloss Safety Red: cap, sleeve stripes and cuffs
Gloss Royal Blue: vest
Gloss Black: Eyeballs, bottom of boots and base
Gloss Hunter Green: Top of base
Includes removable ring and removable flag holding tube for hand, (2) 9" x 13" American car flags with clip/hook cut off, (1) 9" x 13" American car flag with clip/hook not cut off as an example, and repainting instructions for future reference.
